FAST FOOD REMAKE EPISODE #1: Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
30 mins prepServes 4
A healthier, yet equally delicious, homemade version of the classic Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich using a cauliflower-based breading. This recipe features pickle-marinated chicken, a crispy coating, and a copycat Chick-fil-A sauce.
Preheat oven to 450 F.
Prep chicken by cutting in half horizontally if breasts are thick, aiming for about 1/2" inch thickness.
Put chicken breasts in a bowl and top with pickle juice. Marinate in fridge for 2-3 hours.
Mix Caulicrunch Original, flour, powdered sugar, paprika, and salt together in a bowl.
Dip each chicken breast in egg, followed by the Caulicrunch mixture, and set on a sheet pan with a wire rack. Repeat this process until all chicken breasts are breaded.
Spray chicken on both sides with oil.
Bake chicken for 12 minutes, then flip, and bake an additional 12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Meanwhile, prep the Chick-fil-A sauce by combining Mayo, bbq sauce, honey, and yellow mustard together in a bowl.
Toast buns over stovetop with butter until golden brown.
Serve chicken between burger buns, with pickles and the prepared sauce. Enjoy!
